Governance Matters International Limited, trading as Governance Recruitment International (We, our, us) is a recruitment and human resources consulting business with expertise in sourcing corporate governance and compliance specialists, including Company Secretaries, and in the design and operation of corporate governance functions, including Corporate Secretariats. We are committed to protecting the personal information of our clients and candidates. By accessing our website and/or submitting your personal information to us through any means, including LinkedIn, job boards and other websites, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as set out in the Statement.

Your personal information may be received by us from you directly, or otherwise collected from our website, a third party or other publicly available source.


The personal information we collect and use can vary. It can include but is not limited to your professional information, information in relation to your right to work in certain jurisdictions, personal information including your contact details and relevant financial data, as well as any other information that we may request and/or you may provide.

We collect, use, and disclose your personal information to enable us to perform our business activities, including but not limited to helping candidates find work and assisting our clients to find the best people available. We may also utilise your personal information to send you marketing materials including information relating to recruitment opportunities in the marketplace that may be of interest to you, or pay you, should you be engaged as a contractor through us.


We may disclose your personal information to third parties (located onshore or overseas) for the purposes it was collected, or for a related or ancillary purpose in connection with our business operations or where we are required by relevant law to do so. Also, as we provide global services to our clients, it is likely that we may transfer your data overseas to other countries from time to time. 

Your personal information will ordinarily be stored electronically on our software or systems, but from time to time may also be stored in hard copy documents. We always endeavour to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. However, if you suspect loss, unauthorised access, or misuse, please contact us immediately.
